Dr. Chuck Monson

Optometrist

Dr. Chuck Monson has been serving residents of Mooresville, NC since 2006. Dr. Chuck Monson is a graduate of North Mecklenburg High School. He earned his undergraduate degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After earning his undergraduate degree, he earned his doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Monson has practiced in the Mooresville, NC area since 2006 and started Vision Center of Lake Norman in 2013. Dr. Monson is associated with the American Optometric Association, N.C. State Optometric Society, Lake Norman Lions Club, Mooresville Health Reach Clinic, and NC Prevent Blindness.

About Dr. Chuck Monson

 Dr. Monson and his wife also have participated in several eye mission trips for the Bahamas Youth Network (BYN), which gives eye exams and eyeglasses to school-aged children on remote islands in the Bahamas.

Dr. Monson sees patients of all ages for comprehensive family eye care, including glasses and specialty contact lenses. He also treats eye diseases, such as dry eyes, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye exams and eye emergencies/trauma.

In his spare time, Dr. Monson enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and dog, Winston. They especially like traveling and spending time on Lake Norman. Dr. Monson enjoys staying active and participates in several sports, including golf, snow skiing and wakeboarding. He is also an avid fan of the UNC Tar Heels and the Carolina Panthers.

Dr. Raphael Dixon Weeks

Optometrist

Dr. Raphael Dixon Weeks, who is native of Kannapolis, has been in Optometric practice for over 20 years.  She graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Biochemistry.  Dr. Weeks obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a postgraduate residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision at the Birmingham Veterans Administration Hospital.  Dr. Weeks lives in Mooresville with her husband and two daughters.  She and her family enjoy road trips, trying local restaurants, and cheering on the Wolfpack!

Dr. Allen Hill Bandy Jr

Optometrist

Dr. Allen Bandy, Jr is the third generation of doctors from the Bandy family caring for patients in Catawba County. His grandfather, Dr. William Gaither Bandy was a family practitioner in Maiden and Lincolnton, and his father, Dr. Allen H. Bandy Sr, was an optometrist with Lifetime Eyecare. Dr. Bandy and his wife Debbie live in Newton. Dr. Bandy and his family enjoy volunteering at The Green Room Community Theatre. They also love traveling, live theatre, and board games. The Green Room Community Theatre Volunteer of the Year Award was named in honor of Dr. Allen H. Bandy, Jr, and he was the first recipient of the award in 2011. 

More about Dr. Bandy

Dr. Bandy was presented with the City of Newton Unity Award and the Catawba County Arts Volunteer of the Year award. The Bandy family enjoys a tradition of hosting a community Thanksgiving Dinner every other year since 1989. Professionally, Dr. Bandy practices full-scope eye care, caring for patients throughout their lifetime. He specializes in contact lenses and dry eye management. He is a member of the Catawba Valley Optometric Society, the NC Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Bandy is a proud Appalachian State University graduate, and he graduated from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 1986.

Kim is a NC native. She began working in eyecare in 2020 and joined Lifetime Eyecare in 2023.Kim enjoys getting to know our patients and caring for their individual needs. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and soaking up the sunshine.

Marissa is a NC native. She has been working in eyecare since 2016. Marrisa enjoys furthering her knowledge in optometry and connecting with all of our patients. In Marissa’s spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, 3 children, family, and friends.
